Select a measure (say, area) from the list of measures.
The list of measures is replaced by the conversion page. The list of units appear in two identical boxes, with the SI unit (m^2 in this case) appearing at the top and the English unit (ft^2) at the bottom. Select "From Unit" and "To Unit". You can see the output get updated as you spin the wheel.
Select a "from unit" (from the left box) and a "to unit" from the right box. The conversion is displayed as an equation in terms of 1 unit of the "from unit".
If you select m^2 as the "from unit" and yd^2 as the "to unit", the equation displays 1 m^2 = 1.19599 yd^2.
Use the swap button to switch from and to units, producing 1 yd^2 = 0.836127 m^2
You can change the default value of 1 in the left text box to any number and update the conversion by clicking on the refresh button .
Instead of a numerical value, you can use an arithmatic expression such as 12*14 (suppose you know the length and width of a rectangle).
The Info button at the bottom displays (a) useful information about the measure; (b) Special instructions for a few measures (such as Radix conversion, interest and mortgage, etc); (c) Additional output (for example, ammortization table for a mortgage).
The Measure link takes you back to the main page. You can also switch to another measure using the drop-down menu at the top.
