1. Launch a new browser window (perhaps, alongside this tutorial) and point that window to www.thermofluids.net. The top section of the home page should look like the figure below.

The portal www.thermofluids.net actually redirects you to the best available server. However, some countries (such as China) do not allow domain forwarding. In that case you must access TEST by using the absolute address of a server "energy.sdsu.edu".

2. Click the "create an account" link and fill in all the necessary fields.

3. In Section 3 , decide which type of account you wish to create, If you are an educator, you will be asked to provide some more information. Registering as a student or educator.

4. Click the Register Button at the bottom of the page and a temporary account, valid for 30 days, is created for you with your email address as the login id and a randomly generated password , which is sent to your email. To upgrade to a permanent account, follow the Manage my account tutorial bellow.

5. Your password should arrive in minutes; if not, check your spam folder. You may also use the 'Forgot Password' link to have it mailed to you again. Write to support@thermofluids.net if you do not receive a password for some reason. Once you have received your password, log in using your email address as the user id.

6. To log out click the Logout tab, highlighted green, on the bottom task bar. If you forget to log out, the session will automatically time out in 2 hours.
